Yet another update ;)

Hello Friends :)

I did indeed get the operation done and it went very well. I stayed in the hospital for almost a week before the operation, and had complications that were well taken care of. Thank you for your concern and well wishes, as you must by now know how much I treasure both. Although I'm not better in terms of tiredness, it did take away most of the abdominal pain I've been having the past couple of years.. so hopefully my fibro will take a cue and get better!
I'm trying my hardest to get well enough to do in person readings, but I'm not yet up to that standard yet. But hopefully this Autumn energy will give me a push too, as it's always the best time for readings.

Operation!

Hello friends!

Just a quick message to say that I've been in hospital and doctors' offices on and off.. I need to have surgery this coming month and perhaps sooner. I have great faith that this will cure me of a great deal of the pain I've been experiencing, although the Cards point to complications - so I'm preparing best I can to avoid them.
Prayers are more than welcome, of any faith or philosophy. :)

Emailing Issues..!

Lately I've been getting a few people telling me that they don't recieve my emails. If you're wondering where my email has gone, please contact me so that I can re-send the letters. I keep them all saved in the Sent folder until I'm sure all is okay with the reading and mail.

I will be contacting Rogers about this issue and if it's not solved in the next month or so, I will be moving to another address, another company. I will post the new email here and in the monthly newsletter.

Anyways, as always Fate usually has a hand in these things so I can't wait to find out why :)

BTW, my last health reading showed that this Summer is a big turnaround healthwise. The spirits seemed very optimistic. I'm always wary of self-readings, but I am choosing to believe this with all my heart, I can't wait to meet face to face again!

Responsability in a Psychic: In the News

A couple of people have asked me what I think about the psychic who told a teacher's assistant that her student (with a name starting with the letter V) was sexually abused. The TA then told a child protective agency, and havoc ensued.

As a 'psychic' (I haven't yet found a name that has no negative connotations so we'll use psychic) - I cringe when stuff like this happens. First of all, psychics that will only give you the first letter in some one's name.. well that's ridiculous to start off with. Perhaps these details were false.. but any psychic that just gives a first letter.. well they either are trying to reach through the haze of a tough reading, or the person is a fake that is cold reading (search Cold Readings in this site for more info on that).

Secondly, every psychic knows that not all readings are 100% accurate.. therefore we always should err on the side of caution. I would have said "keep an eye on this child, note any strange behavior, and at Parent Teacher meetings - talk to this child's parents."

Sure there are many people who say - if there's even a chance of abuse, it should be stated quickly and clearly! However, in today's society, even a hint of abuse sends child protective services out to check it out and even take the kids away from their parents. What if they aren't guilty and their kids get taken away? Trauma, heartbreak..

I wish I was healthier and able to convey my message more clearly, but I hope this is enough to answer this question. Did this psychic act wrongly? Yes, but so did his/her client. It takes two to tango in Tarot, but it always begins with a psychic who's too confident in his/her ability. We're never 100% right, otherwise we'd win the lottery (drool... I wish!) We must always remain humble and explore the situation fully before even saying what letter or letters the name starts with. You might see me think a lot during a reading, and that is a time when I am going through minute details in the reading before I give the information to you. And if ever all I give you is the first initial... well that'll make me sad. I prefer at least three to four letters, vagueness is the bane - careful humble common sense is the cure.

How to make sure your email is read quickly

A few tips on how to avoid my spam filter.. as I get upwards of 200 spam mails a DAY. I must put a filter to prevent having to sift through tons of mail about silly things people are trying to sell. Here is a rule that'll ensure you'll get into my inbox.

Put "Tarot Reading" or "Tarot" in the subject line. Then you are automatically put into my Tarot Folder which is the first thing I check. Putting Tarot will ensure everything is okay. Astrology works too, as does Mediumship.
